What Are You Proud of Yourself For?

I wrote about not being a scaredy cat anymore last week. The fascinating thing about not being a scaredy cat is that it doesn't mean that I don't get scared. In fact in the last few weeks I've been scared a lot!

I'm creating things in my life and reaching for some big goals. I'm taking my kids to Germany, I'm building my coaching business and I'm loving and serving the women in my church and I'm often just doing it all scared. I have to talk to myself a lot and I get to work on my thoughts and emotions every day in order to create these things.

Let me give you a glimpse into my day today…….

I'm doing some advanced coach training with Jody Moore so I'm actually writing this on my phone from a hotel room in Spokane where I am attending two days of training from her.

I flew out of Vegas this afternoon, I had never been to the Harry Reid international airport before so that was all new.

Google maps took me through the center of Vegas and I ended up on the Vegas strip at one point and it took a minute for me to recognize how to get back to the right road.

I stopped to get gas right before the airport because my car was getting pretty low and I really needed to use the restroom. The gas station wasn't the highest quality station and it didn't have any restrooms so I had the opportunity to wait until I got to the airport.

Long term parking at the airport was kind of crazy and it took me about 30 min to find a parking spot on the very top level not even covered parking.

I flew out of Vegas instead of Salt Lake because it was about $100 less than flying out of SLC but the crazy thing about that is I had a 2 hr layover in Salt Lake.

Was I stressed, yes. Was I scared? Yes, at times but I took the opportunity to check in with myself along the way and ask myself what I needed and sometimes I just went in the bathroom so I could be alone for a minute and take some deep breaths.

This is what it looks like for me when I come out from under the shed. It looks like dreaming and doing bigger things in my life than I ever have before and stopping to let my nervous system catch up with me for a minute.

……….I'm proud of me!

…..what are you proud of yourself for?
